We do not recommend replacing existing amalgam restorations unless there is breakdown, fracture or decay underneath the amalgam restoration. Composite filling restorations provide a beautiful alternative to silver fillings and come in different shades so that we can blend it into your tooth for a natural look.
Onlay restorations are lab processed composite or porcelain fillings that are made to replace large areas of lost tooth structure including cusps.
The advantages of these lab processed restorations are that they usually cause no sensitivity after being placed and outlast conventional dental fillings.
