Custom Sports Mouthguards
Custom-fitted mouth protectors are individually designed and made in a dental office or a dental laboratory based on your dentist’s instructions. First, your dentist will take an impression of your teeth so that a model can be made. A special vacuum or pressurized machine heats up the mouth guard material which is then molded over the model. Due to the use of the special material and because of the extra time and work involved, this custom-made mouth guard provides the most comfort, protection and ability to BREATHE while engaged in your sport.
NiteGuards
Dental NiteGuards are made for people who damage their teeth due to grinding or clenching. This type of “parafunction” most often occurs during sleep. Consequently, although you may not be aware of your grinding (bruxism) the evidence could be the flattened worn edges of your teeth.
It is a lot less expensive to repair a NiteGuard than all your teeth!
If your jaws are tired or sore in the morning, a modification to this NiteGuard can be made to reduce muscle spasm in your jaws and make them more comfortable.
