General Dentist
Dr. Perry Lichtblau, completed one year of undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in 1977 before being accepted into the Faculty of Dentistry program at the University of Toronto in 1978, at age 19.
During that time, Perry received the “Hugh Alexander Hoskin Scholarship” for excellence in Oral Diagnosis & Medicine from the Faculty of Dentistry. He also received the “American Academy of Oral Medicine – Award of Merit” for outstanding proficiency and achievement. He received top Honours in his clinical courses.
Perry has been a part-time Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Medicine at the University of Toronto-Faculty of Dentistry for over 25 years.
He also reviews dental injury claims for a third party insurance company and has been a Product Evaluator for Clinicians Report Newsletters and Research for over 6 years.
Perry is a proud member of the Canadian & Ontario Dental Associations, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, F.O.R.C.E. Advanced Orthodontic Study Club and the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Perrycontinually expands his skills through Advanced Clinical Training and Continuing Education in Aesthetic Restorative & Implant Dentistry, Trauma & Endodontics, Orthodontics (braces & Invisalign), Emergency Treatment & Minor Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Oral Sedation & Nitrous Oxide (Moderate Sedation)
Relaxation currently takes the form of Cycling (member of the Pedalos Rapidos Affiliate Chapter of the Canadian Cycling Association), Sailing (Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Yachting Association) and family time.
General Dentist
Dr. Ryan Lichtblau studied Health Sciences at Wilfrid Laurier University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2017. Following this, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2021 from the University of Toronto. Upon completing his degree, he was awarded with the Dr. Norman Levine Award In Paediatric Dentistry And Orthodontics for his academic and clinical achievements. Ryan has always had a passion for helping others and while in dental school his commitment to the profession grew even stronger. He strives for excellence in his knowledge and abilities to provide the best quality care for his patients and believes communication and trust is key to achieving his patient’s oral health needs and goals.
Dr. Ryan Lichtblau is excited to be a part of the Smiles on Seven team that he grew up with and is hoping that through communication and patient-centred care he will be able to make going to the dentist as an enjoyable an experience as possible for his patients.
When Ryan is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing sports and exercising, and cheering on the Toronto Raptors.
Periodontist
Dr. Ryan Schure earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. During his training, he participated in externships at both the University of Michigan and the Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, and was the recipient of numerous awards for clinical and academic achievements. He went on to complete his Master of Science degree with advanced training in periodontology and implant surgery at the University of Toronto. His research on the relationships between cardiovascular diseases and periodontal diseases has been published and presented at international meetings.
As a board-certified periodontist in Canada, Dr. Schure’s scope of practice includes the non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal tissue regeneration and periodontal soft tissue grafting. He also has extensive training in the surgical placement of dental implants, hard tissue grafting (including guided bone regeneration and maxillary sinus augmentation) and soft tissue grafting to enhance the esthetics of dental implants. Dr. Schure believes in prevention first and foremost. He strives to provide his patients with the best treatment options available focusing on what is necessary for their long term oral health.
Dr. Schure is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is an Examiner in Periodontics for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Additionally, Dr. Schure is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Society of Periodontists, American Academy of Periodontology, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He also serves as an Assistant Professor and Course Director with the University at Buffalo’s School of Dental Medicine.
